Pinnettas de Pedra is a project by ISSLA that explores the history and significance of the Pinnettas, traditional dry-stone shelters once used by Sardinian shepherds as refuges in the wild. While historically essential for pastoral life, the project also raises an important question: what could Pinnettas become in the future? Pinnettas de Pedra is an initiative aimed at rediscovering and reimagining these structures. The project sheds light on their cultural and architectural value, and investigates ways to repurpose them for contemporary use while preserving their authenticity.

To amplify the reach of this initiative, we developed a digital platform that serves as the official presentation of the project. The website introduces visitors to the world of the Pinnettas, offering insights into their history, construction techniques, and role in Sardinian heritage.
